India's recent debacle in Cricket World Cup 2007 has received rave castigation from all corners. More over, the ripple effect of this disaster was observed as far as, in Indian Economy also. Sensex shed close to 200 points following the news. Companies have started reporting losses owing to India's dismal performance(Read Ad revenue losses).
When so much is on stake what can be done now?
Here I have a suggestion for BCCI and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Some economist(I don't remember who) has said that to get maximum benefit each country should do what it does best and outsource rest of the activities to other countries where it can be done cheaply and most effectively.Thats how India has emerged as outsourcing hub in services. Now we have enough of evidence to proof that we r not good in sports. Why not outsource our sports activities to countries like Australia? This will serve two purposes, first we will save a lot of bucks that is being spent on these useless sports activities. Second, we can utilize those cricketers in services outsourcing. Infact we can strike a deal with Australia where we can outsource our cricketing team and they can outsource their IT service requirement.
Now some people would say, how that team represents Indian team with all foreign players? My answer would be look at West Indies team, England team If Indians can play in their team there is no harm foreigners playing for Indian team. And a well known fact is the 11 players represents BCCI which is a private corporation and not INDIA.

Salam Bloggers........
Feels gr8 to be a part of this community called "THE BLOGGERS".
Yeah u heard it right!
Blogs are one of the best things happened to me in life. Hitherto i have been a silent readers of all kinda blogs. Recently, i started reading a book by Thomas L Friedman called "The World Is Flat". No No this aint abt proving that world is flat contrary to what Columbus proved many years ago, infact its abt globalization, how the equations are changing and how so called BRIC countries are coming up and competing with western countries. In short the world is getting leveled. In this book he talked abt 10 fatteners which helped countries like INDIA to compete the way it is competing now. To name a few netscape, Google, Y2K, IT bust were few flatteners. I m not going to explain them but the whole purpose i referred to these flatteners is to introduce a new 11th flattener which i believe Mr. Friedman missed big time.
That 11th flattener is BLOGGING.Imagine life before blogging came into being , we had Google we had Yahoo we had Instant messengers to connect, to collaborate and share our things. but was that enough?
Thing that tickles me most is what was the reason that prompted us to take blogging in such a big way? Well i believe there is a humane side attached with blogging. We all have a Chetan Bhagat (remember 5 point someone and 1 night @callcenter) residing inside us. We all have gone thru turbulent times we all at times laugh at ourselves we ll at times feel anger joy frustration elation and all those unsaid feelings. We all have a darker side of life which we pretend to hide. There are many things u want to share but u can't becoz u thought mom dad won't be able to understand, sis bro are to small to get that, frnds will make fun n what not. But we all need a vent to let this feeling go otherwise this feeling of guilt, frustration, joy, happiness ll choke our lives. Thats where blogging comes to save our lives. Its a mean a platform to say things we would have never said otherwise.
Now howz blogging a flattener? Well imagine do we really know how ordinary ppl in and around the world think in day to day life. I think not. But then u would argue that we have many books, Novels etc but thats not how ordinary ppl think. These books are fantasies mixed with a politically correct language n thats where the very essence of writing is lost. U have to be crude u have to be straight u have to be spot on n thats where blogging scores. We have blogs by ppl around the world abt day to day routine and thats how world is flattening.
I dnt profess to be a writer but i truly believe that we all have a writer within us and we all are wannabe Chetan Bhagat.
Happy Blogging :)
